Why Eric Bischoff Isn’t Concerned About RAFW’s Lack Of TV

Eric Bischoff isn’t concerned that his latest venture with Hulk Hogan doesn’t have a media partner 3 months before its debut event.

2025 has been quite the adventure for Hulk Hogan. On January 6, he appeared on Monday Night Raw as WWE’s flagship show debuted on Netflix, but fans were not pleased to see him and Hulk Hogan was loudly booed for the entirety of his segment.

Hulk Hogan reunited with Eric Bischoff for a bizarre video in April, where they reprised the NWO videos of old that proved popular in WCW. However, 30 years on, this new attempt proved anything but cool as they teased working with a third man.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff’s big reveal was called the biggest letdown ever by many, as they announced they were working with wrestling and MMA coach Izzy Martinez in a new venture called Real American Freestyle Wrestling.

Real American Freestyle Wrestling is being touted as an “unscripted freestyle wrestling league injected with storytelling and colorful characters.” The promotion has signed up former UFC star Ben Askren, Olympian Kennedy Blades, and national champion Zahid Valencia.

Eric Bischoff Confident Of Finding A Platform For New Venture

Eric Bischoff, labelled as the Chief Media Officer of the new organisation, speaking to Ariel Helwani, was asked where the promotion’s debut event on August 30 would air, and Bischoff revealed talks were ongoing with two major platforms:

As a matter of fact, as soon as we’re done with this, I have a call with a major platform that everybody would know about and recognize. We may end up there, we may not. We are going to end up on a platform on August 30th.

We’re in discussions. I don’t even want to call negotiations. I’ll be really straightforward with you on this. We’re in discussions with two different platforms. Like I said, one over the next 45 minutes. I’m confident that we’re going to land a streaming opportunity and it may be a cable broadcast, but time will tell, you know.”

I’m not concerned that we won’t have a platform. I’m only concerned with which one it will be and how it will work for us.
