Why Cody Rhodes Was Shocked His Wife Didn’t Leave Him

Cody Rhodes has admitted his wife stuck with him through the early part of his relationship when he had a questionable gimmick in WWE.

All relationships go through awkward phases, but perhaps that is more amplified when both parties are part of the biggest wrestling company in the world. For Cody Rhodes, perhaps no part of his relationship with his now-wife Brandi Rhodes came when he was packing some serious facial fuzz.

Speaking on What Do You Wanna Talk About with Nikki Bella, Rhodes discussed his moustached persona and expressed that he was surprised that Brandi Rhodes stayed with him in spite of the questionable facial hair during the early stages of their relationship:

I was shocked when I look back, I remember Brandi, we take pictures together and stuff, I feel like I’m shocked she hung in. That’s a real wrestler thing, like having absud long hair or some gimmick, whatever it may be. You’ve gotta go through civilian life with that. That’s the things we do though.

Cody Rhodes Heading To SummerSlam

Cody Rhodes captured the King of the Ring crown at Night of Champions, which earned him a title shot at SummerSlam.

Rhodes will run back his WrestleMania 41 main event at WWE’s biggest party of the summer when he challenges John Cena for the WWE Championship.
