Why Clock Is Ticking On AJ Styles’ WWE Career
AJ Styles has set his marker down for his retirement from the ring and it seems time is running out fast for The Phenomenal One.
AJ Styles faced an uncertain future in WWE in the fall of 2024 with reports suggesting that the star could be just months away from his contract expiring.
However, the former WWE Champion is still very much part of the company and AJ Styles is set to call out Logan Paul which could lead to a major WrestleMania match between the two stars.
And according to Styles, WrestleMania 41 could be one of his last.
AJ Styles Won’t Wrestle At 50
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, AJ Styles was asked if he wanted to keep wrestling into his fifties, but Styles promises he’ll have hung up his boots by then:
That’s correct. I keep saying that. I’ve said this and said this, but I will not wrestle at 50, I promise you that.
In June 2025, AJ Styles will turn 48 meaning that his own self-imposed limit means he only has two more years left as an active wrestler.
While the industry used to be a young man’s game more and more wrestlers are competing well into their fifties and some even beyond that. The Rock was 51 when he laced up his boots again to headline WrestleMania 40 while Adam Copeland will be that same age when he headlines AEW Revolution as he looks to win the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley.
