Why Big E’s WWE Career Could Be At An End
Big E has had a rough couple of years with things getting worse after he suffered a betrayal on his Raw return and now it seems his time in WWE could be near its end.
The New Day are easily one of the most popular acts in WWE history making all three members of the group certainties to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future.
However, Big E suffered a broken neck in 2022 which has kept the former WWE Champion out of action for years now and it’s not expected that he’ll ever be able to return to the ring.
Despite that Big E appeared on Raw as WWE celebrated the tenth anniversary of The New Day as he sought to act as a peacemaker between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Big E offered to manage the pair as they continued their in-ring careers but instead, Woods and Kingston made clear his offer was not welcome and then they sent Big E from the ring as his time in the group came to an end.
Is Big E On His Way Out Of WWE?
Fightful Select has now given some insight into Big E’s WWE future and why it might be over sooner rather than later. The report noted that all three members of The New Day signed new five-year deals in 2019 that would expire at the end of 2024.
Crucially it is believed that WWE has not added time to Big E’s deal due to his injury and his role on-screen for panels and other appearances would count towards his time as far as his contract is concerned. As of the summer, it was unknown if Big E has signed a new deal with WWE but if he has not then he could be heading towards free agency in just a few short weeks.
