Why AEW Has Pumped The Brakes On Major All In Match
If you’ve noticed AEW seems to have stalled towards building a huge match for All In Texas, then it’s for a very good reason.
AEW All In Texas will see Hangman Adam Page challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship as he looks to put an end to the Death Riders’ reign of terror in the company.
Toni Storm will defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Mercedes Mone, and a huge title unification match will take place as Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada go to war once again.
But it seems one major match that had been in the works for All In Texas won’t be taking place after all.
Christian Cage Stops AEW’s All In Texas Plans?
Fightful Select has reported that there had been “major creative plans” in the works for FTR after they brutally turned on Adam Copeland, sending him out of action. Plans in AEW were in motion to reunite Copeland with his long-time partner, Christian Cage. The presumption was that Cage and Copeland would team to face FTR at All In Texas.
Copeland’s absence from AEW is said to have gone on longer than originally planned, with discussions taking place about his return at Double Or Nothing. However, Christian Cage might have put a spanner in the works of the planned reunion with Copeland, as he seemingly wanted to see through his creative plans with Nick Wayne, since a lot of time has gone into them.
Cage recently claimed on TV that he and Wayne were going after the AEW Tag Team Championship currently held by The Hurt Syndicate.
