Why AEW All In Might Not Be Heading To Max

Tony Khan AEW All In Texas

AEW All In is heading to Texas in 2025 but despite some suggestions otherwise, the show might not be heading to the company’s new streaming home.

Back in October AEW announced its bumper new TV deal with Warner Bros Discovery that will keep Tony Khan’s company on the air for at least three more years.

As per the agreement, Dynamite and Collision will remain on TBS and TNT respectively. However, for the first time ever, AEW programming will stream live on Max and will be available on-demand from January 2025. Pay-per-views will stream live on Max beginning later in 2025 at a discounted rate.

Confusion Over AEW All In Texas On Max

The point about pay-per-views seemed to have become confused after AEW’s on-sale event for All In Texas in July with errant suggestions appearing online that the event would definitely be airing on Max – but that might not be the case after all.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer sought to clear up the confusion and pointed out Tony Khan never mentioned All In being on Max as a definite but it could be if the streaming service’s pay-per-view capabilities are up and running by then:

There’s something that’s been misinterpreted because I saw it everywhere and as soon as I saw it, first of all, watching [the press conference] it was never said and I knew that it wasn’t right.

So [Tony Khan] kept pushing that [AEW] is going to Max in January, Collision and Dynamite go in January, every single show so that’s the deal. He did not say that All In was going to be on Max. All In will be on Max if Max has pay-per-view capabilities by July 12th. We don’t know the timetable, nobody knows the timetable, and you can ask questions, the reality is it will be ready when it’s ready.

Tony did not say that, he made it very clear that he did not say that it would be on [Max] but it could be, it just depends how quick it moves.

While appearing at the event, former AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson admitted it’s highly uncertain if he’ll ever wrestle again.
