Distraught Wheeler Yuta Gives Update On Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson is recovering at home.

After successfully defending his AEW World Championship against Jack Perry at All Out, Bryan Danielson was stunningly and brutally betrayed by Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli.

After the trio initially helped Danielson ward off The Patriarchy, Castagnoli hit Danielson with an uppercut before Moxley tried to suffocate him with a plastic bag. In the background, PAC held back Wheeler Yuta who was trying to help his fallen friend.

On the September 14th edition of Collision, Lexy Nair caught up with a very emotional and distracted Yuta as he entered the arena.

“Yeah… Bryan… out of respect for him, Brie and the kids I don’t wanna share too much but he’s doing the best that he can given the… sorry I forgot my boots..”

A clearly distracted Yuta then checked in his bag before asking for the question to be repeated. He added that he doesn’t have much of an update, reiterating that he’s doing the best he can, but that he hasn’t spoken to any of the other stars involved.

Later in the night, Yuta defeated Anthony Henry.

Nigel McGuinness Addresses Bryan Danielson Clash

With Danielson absent, Nigel McGuinness discussed his upcoming match with the American Dragon. With regard to the confusion around how he got the match in the first place given fans were led to believe Danielson wouldn’t be fit for Grand Slam, the British star said the Moxley was only speculating on his condition when he said he’d be unable to compete.

Sensing an opportunity, McGuinness then asked Tony Khan for the match with Danielson, knowing his long-time rival would do everything he could to wrestle.

At Grand Slam, Jon Moxley will square off against Darby Allin with the latter’s World Championship shot on the line.
