A new report has shed light on what WWE has planned in the future for WWE Hall of Fame husband and wife, Edge and Beth Phoenix.

Edge has been a part of several big moments in WWE since returning to the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble after almost a decade on the shelf due to injuries. He last competed at Extreme Rules in October 2022 when he was forced to say ‘I Quit’ by Finn Balor as his Judgment Day partner Rhea Ripley stood over Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix with a steel chair.

Despite Balor winning the match, Ripley still nailed Phoenix with a one-woman con-chair-to and the WWE Hall of Fame couple have not been seen since.

Now Fightful Select has issued a report on their WWE future, noting that as far back as November 2022, the company had plans for the former WWE Champion to be part of the first few premium live events in 2023. It was believed that Edge would resume his rivalry with Finn Balor at the Royal Rumble in a Hell In A Cell match while limited dates as part of The Rated-R Superstar’s contract are believed to be why his appearances are being spread out.

The report also claims that Beth Phoenix was set to be a part of the Elimination Chamber event in February which will take place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The plan was for Phoenix to team up with her husband to take on Rhea Ripley and Balor in tag team action. It is noted that these matches aren’t considered official until WWE announces them.
