What Tony Khan Had To Say After Shock Return On AEW Dynamite
Tony Khan has broken his silence after Dynamite saw the surprise return of a controversial AEW star.
On October 1st, Andrade El Idolo made a shock return to AEW just weeks after it was reported he’d been fired by WWE. According to that report, the former NXT Champion was let go after several breaches of the company’s wellness policy.
However, his return to AEW was very short-lived as it soon emerged that WWE contracts contain a non-compete clause for an entire year if the star in question is fired for cause.
After Andrade El Idolo made a surprise appearance at a House of Glory show, it seemed that his non-compete issues could well and truly be behind him as he made a shock return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Tony Khan Welcomes Back Andrade
But he wasn’t done there. On the January 7th edition of Dynamite, Andrade made his return to AEW, picking up where he left off as he reunited with The Don Callis Family. The Family took out The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and JetSpeed and their strength in numbers paid off.
Now, taking to social media, Tony Khan has officially welcomed Andrade back to AEW, complete with an All Elite graphic:
He’s back, and he’s All Elite!; Welcome back to @AEW, @AndradeElIdolo!; #AEWDynamite
