What Mercedes Mone Really Thinks About WWE Evolution 2

Mercedes Mone

AEW star Mercedes Mone has given her candid thoughts on WWE holding its second-ever all-female Evolution show.

In 2018, WWE put its women front and centre for the all-female Evolution show that was headlined by Ronda Rousey successfully defending the Raw Women’s Title against Nikki Bella. That show saw Mercedes Mone – then known as Sasha Banks – team with Bayley and Natalya to defeat The Riott Squad’s Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan.

Now, seven years later, WWE is revisiting Evolution with a show taking place on July 13th. The first title match for that event has been confirmed, but there are still plenty of stars no doubt hoping for a place on that card.

One day before Evolution returns, Mercedes Mone will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Title at All In Texas, but she’s got her thoughts about WWE giving the women a chance to stand on their own once again.

Mercedes Mone Speaks On Evolution 2

Speaking during an Instagram livestream for subscribers, Mone was candid with her thoughts on Evolution 2:

I think it’s about time. They waited way too long to have an all-women’s pay-per-view. But I love and I will always support and be a huge advocate for women’s wrestling, so I am excited for that and for the women that get to perform on that.
