What Goldberg Was Really Thinking When He Headbutted A Wall
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is well known for headbutting doors but now he’s revealed what went through his mind before he ploughed headfirst into a wall.
Goldberg’s high-intensity approach to wrestling began even before he got in the ring with his opponent. Famed for his backstage entrances in WCW, the WWE Hall of Famer psyched himself up by headbutting the door of his locker room on the way to the ring.
That move has gone wrong in the past, however, as Goldberg revealed he was already concussed when he got in the ring with The Undertaker for their infamous match at Super ShowDown in 2019.
Goldberg Regrets Wall Headbutt
Speaking on The Cat’s Corner Podcast with former WCW star Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller, Goldberg was asked what went through his head when he headbutted a wall as he admitted he should have known better:
Nothing, except for, ‘Why didn’t I touch it first?’ You would have thought my martial arts days would have taught me better.
You know as well as I do, when you walk in a gym, you always touch a bag before you kick it. Because it could be one of those 400-pound bags that are made of concrete that are just there to toughen up your shins, whatever we’re doing it for. It’s not the bag that you throw head kicks at full force, or low kicks.
Goldberg has confirmed that he will be having a retirement match in 2025 that could well be against a current champion in WWE.
