What CM Punk-Jey Uso WWE Rivalry Is Missing
CM Punk and Jey Uso will battle for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Both superstars battled multiple superstars to secure the opportunity for the world championship. Punk defeated Jey Uso and LA Knight in a Triple Threat match. Once Rollins vacated the title, The YEET Master won a Battle Royal to emerge as the Second City Saint’s opponent.
Currently, both superstars are working as babyfaces and are extremely over with the fans. When two babyfaces battle, one of them can be turned heel to make it look like the other overcame an obstacle to win the world championship.
The heel factor seems to be missing from the Jey Uso-CM Punk rivalry
During an episode of Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, the missing factor in the Punk-Uso rivalry was discussed. He claimed that Punk isn’t able to be a prick because both of them are babyfaces. The animosity seems to be missing.
They think that they’re doing something similar to the long Bloodline saga with this offshoot. It’s a deal of Jey, Jimmy, their interaction, and Roman’s influence on Jey. Punk is best when he’s able to cut a promo on somebody and really team him down and get into the issue. He can’t be a prick here because he’s a babyface, and so is Jey. Punk does a good promo regardless. But I want to see a mixed tag level of animosity, or the Punk-Drew or the Punk and Rollins level of animosity.
Whether or not CM Punk walks out as the world champion is still being debated. However, he might not need to be the world champion at this point in his career.
