Their feud, built on Kross’s mind games and repeated steel-pipe ambushes, culminated with Scarlett attempting to hand Zayn the weapon to prove Kross’s point. But Zayn refused to cheat, hit an Exploder, and sealed the win with a Helluva Kick at 8:10 by pinfall. It was a story-ending moment for Zayn and an uncertain one for Kross, who left the ring with a “weird feeling” about what came next.

How Karrion Kross Felt After His WWE SummerSlam Loss?

One week after SummerSlam, Karrion Kross and his wife Scarlett exited WWE as their contracts officially expired at midnight on Sunday, August 10. They were both moved to the Alumni section and removed from the internal roster shortly thereafter. Speaking days before the contract expiration on The Angle with Joey Karni, Kross reflected on the SummerSlam walk and the Zayn bout.

“To have the privilege to walk down the ramp of SummerSlam… it was really awesome… I wish I could have done things a little bit differently, a little bit bigger… I was very grateful… Once the match was over, I just had a weird feeling,” he said. The quote captured the bittersweet exit: a childhood dream realized on a grand stage, a hard‑fought rivalry closed, and an uneasy sense that change was imminent,” he said.

Karrion Kross is now a free agent and has publicly confirmed he’s accepting bookings following the expiration of his WWE contract.
