The Weapon The Undertaker Thinks Is Ridiculous In Wrestling
The Undertaker has done almost everything during his WWE Hall of Fame career but there’s one weapon you would never see him using in the ring.
Tables, ladders, and chairs became so ubiquitous with wrestling that they were given their own pay-per-view by WWE for many years. Kendo sticks, stop signs, thumb tacks, leather straps, cookie sheets, fire extinguishers, coal miner’s gloves, bowling balls, mannequin heads, and chains have all been used as weapons over the years in the ring but there’s one that goes too far for The Undertaker.
The Undertaker No Fan Of Light Tubes
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker took issue with the use of fluorescent light tubes in wrestling and also the fact they’re normally used on independent shows where there are not enough people present to make the risk worth the reward:
I get stuff on my [social media] feed from people getting bashed with like, there will be eight fluorescent bulbs on a thing in front of 10 or 15 people and they’re doing all this over-the-top stuff.
I don’t know what the story is. All I’m looking at is, all I’m seeing is, there’s not enough people in that audience to generate enough money to get me to take something that ridiculous. If I’m on the WWE payroll, they’re going to make it worth my while. Their mindset is probably well, if somebody sees this…
AEW caused a stir recently at All Out with its use of weapons on the show. Jon Moxley used a plastic bag to try and suffocate Bryan Danielson before Adam Page attempted to use a needle to pierce the cheek of Swerve Strickland after both men had thrown each other on a cinder block several times.
