Wardlow’s Mysterious AEW Absence Finally Explained
Wardlow has not been seen in AEW for several months and now it seems the reason for that absence has finally been confirmed.
Wardlow has not been seen in AEW since he lost to Samoa Joe on Dynamite in an AEW World Championship match on the 13th of March edition of Dynamite.
Due to the uncertain status regarding several AEW stars’ future in the company, this has led to plenty of speculation regarding the former TNT Champion.
Wardlow Struggling With Knee Injury
Now, Mr Mayhem’s partner in The Undisputed Kingdom, Matt Taven, has lifted the lid on his continued absence from the company in an appearance on the Stick to Wrestling Podcast:
Wardlow’s out with a knee injury and as a guy with plenty of knee injuries in the past, they can be tricky. You start to think they’re one thing and then you think they’re another and then you think, oh, I can get away with doing this or that and it seems to be more serious so, I think he’s just trying to figure out exactly what the best kind of treatment plan is to get him back on track with that knee.
Wardlow has previously discussed being depressed due to his AEW hiatus so will no doubt be hoping to get back to full fitness to return to the ring.
