Wardlow Up For Pinnacle Reunion With CM Punk Instead Of MJF

It would seem Wardlow has just one change if The Pinnacle were to reform – but it’s a pretty major one.

MJF brought together the combination of himself, Wardlow, FTR, Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard in March 2021. With the team often feuding with The Inner Circle, there were always combustable elements in both factions.

However, things seemed to completely implode when Wardlow turned on MJF to help CM Punk defeat him at AEW Revolution 2022. Soon after FTR would part ways with the group, and The Pinnacle was effectively no more.

With ‘The Salt Of The Earth’ now AEW World Champion and seemingly the one everyone in the group had a problem with, the rest of the members have occasionally teamed up since for multi-man matches.

“I’ll Call Pepsi Phil Myself”

In a discussion at Terrificon via Fandom Spotlite, Wardlow has admitted he’d really like to see The Pinnacle back together, but with Punk at the helm rather than MJF.

Dude, that would be so sweet, for us to all get back together and live that Pinnacle lifestyle, and just throw it all in Max’s face. Actually no, I think I’m just gonna call Pepsi Phil myself and see what he thinks about that. We all collectively love destroying MJF and his ego, so anything we can do collectively…

[Host brings up Dax’s podcast] There’s mutual hatred throughout the company [laughs]. If it was a ‘We hate MJF faction,’ it would just be the entire roster.

In recent weeks, Wardlow hasn’t been featured on television since losing the TNT Championship, to Luchasaurus, who is under the tutelage of Christian Cage.
