Wardlow Finally Back At AEW Show
Wardlow is back in the AEW fold.
Wardlow has been out of action since challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW World Champion on the March 13, 2024, edition of Dynamite.
There’s been no on-screen explanation for his absence, and this has seen speculation run wild. In recent months, Malakai Black, Miro, Ricky Starks, and Rey Fenix have all left AEW after being dropped from creative plans.
However, in September, Matt Tavern claimed Wardlow is dealing with a knee injury, although he declined to give any further details.
Wardlow’s out with a knee injury and as a guy with plenty of knee injuries in the past, they can be tricky. You start to think they’re one thing and then you think they’re another and then you think, oh, I can get away with doing this or that and it seems to be more serious so, I think he’s just trying to figure out exactly what the best kind of treatment plan is to get him back on track with that knee.
Wardlow Backstage At AEW Revolution
According to a report from Fightful Select, Wardlow has been in Los Angeles in recent weeks working on “another project.” While not offering any specific details, the report added that the star had been dealing with an injury.
A further update confirmed that the former TNT Champion was backstage at the show, although he never appeared on camera. There’s no word on when Wardlow will be back in action.
Fightful also confirmed that The Young Bucks were also backstage but left before the show went on the air. It was recently reported that Matt and Nick Jackson are closing on a return to AEW, having been absent since October.
