W. Morrissey Makes AEW Dynamite Appearance
Former IMPACT Wrestling star W. Morrissey has made his presence felt in AEW on the latest edition of Dynamite.
Having been a staple of IMPACT Wrestling programming since signing for the company in April 2021, W. Morrissey recently departed the company with questions being raised about where his next destination may be.
This was seemingly answered on the 31st August 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, when the former Big Cass hit the ring to interrupt The Wingmen. With Ryan Nemeth, Cesar Bononi, Peter Avalon and JD Drake claiming the need for “More Wingmen On TV”, W. Morrissey hit the ring and destroyed the group, which brought out Stokely Hathaway who presented him with his business card.

It was then down to Tony Schiavone to try and get answers for what had just happened, however he was grabbed and threatened by Hathaway whilst W. Morrissey loomed menacingly in the background.
This was Morrissey’s second AEW Dynamite appearance, having previously been MJF’s hand selected opponent for Wardlow on the 4th May 2022 edition of Dynamite.
W. Morrissey signed with WWE in 2009, and rose to prominence as a cornerstone of the tag team division in NXT alongside Enzo Amore. The pair were moved to the main roster in 2016, and would team together before Morrissey turned on his partner the following year. Morrissey would go on to be released by WWE in 2018, following issues he himself admits stemmed from depression, anxiety, and alcohol addiction.
After turning things around and returning to the independent circuit, Morrissey’s run in IMPACT Wrestling lasted just over a year, until he allowed his contract to expire in June 2022.
The latest edition of Dynamite also saw a number of new contests signed for All Out, which takes place this Sunday, 4th September.
