Vince McMahon’s WWE Influence Only “Likely To Grow”

Vince McMahon had his fingerprints all over Monday Night Raw and a report suggests that the Executive Chairman’s influence is only going to grow in the coming months.

Vince McMahon forced his way back onto the WWE Board of Directors in early 2023 after previously announcing his retirement in July 2022 amid scandals. Since then, McMahon has not been at many shows but he is not being shy about making changes to creative despite Triple H officially having control of that area of the company as the Chief Content Officer.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Monday Night Raw was a Vince McMahon show given the number of changes he made:

“Vince has taken more and more interest in this. [Raw] was another example of that. This was Vince McMahon’s show.”

PWInsider reported before Raw went on the air that the show was going to have lots of “Vince McMahon fingerprints” on the show. It was also noted that McMahon was not in Georgia for Raw but there is a feeling in the company that McMahon’s influence will only grow as the takeover by Endeavor reaches its conclusion.

Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel previously made clear that he refused to let McMahon walk away from the wrestling business and the 77-year-old will be made Executive Chairman of the TKO Group when the takeover is complete. The TKO Group will be the parent company that has control of both WWE and UFC.
