Major Update On Vince McMahon’s Status For John Cena’s Final WWE Match

What’s next for Vince McMahon?

Vince McMahon has largely remained out of the spotlight since leaving WWE in early 2024. McMahon’s departure came after he was named as a defendant in a major lawsuit, which alleged he sexually abused and sex trafficked former WWE employee Janel Grant.

Despite this, back in May, it was revealed that Vince McMahon had launched a new company. The new business, named 14TH & I, is a “private investment firm focused on the sports, media, & entertainment sectors.”

However, speculation has been growing, suggesting that McMahon could return to WWE for John Cena’s retirement match on December 13. Cena has retained a close friendship with McMahon despite the controversy around the disgraced former WWE boss, and it was under McMahon’s leadership that Cena made his debut.

Will Vince McMahon Say Goodbye To John Cena?

While rumours have continued to swirl, a new report from Bryan Alvarez has claimed that it’s increasingly unlikely that McMahon will attend Cena’s final match. But that’s not to say that an appearance would be impossible.

“The current feeling [is] that the chances McMahon attends are ‘increasingly unlikely — not impossible, but unlikely,’”

On the December 5 edition of SmackDown, Gunther and LA Knight meet in the final of the Last Time Is Now tournament. The winner of that match will then face Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
