Vince McMahon’s Order To Ronda Rousey Ahead Of 1st WWE Match Revealed
Ronda Rousey burst into WWE in 2018 after revolutionising the world of MMA and now she reveals the one instruction Vince McMahon had for her before her first match.
At the end of the 2018 Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she appeared signalling that she was now part of the WWE roster. Her first match came a few months later at WrestleMania 34 when she teamed with fellow Olympian and then-Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to face the despised duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match.
Rousey picked up the win for her team when she forced McMahon to tap out with her patented armbar. But despite her fearsome reputation, it seems Vince McMahon wanted to see a lighter side of Rousey.
Writing in her new book Our Fight – available for pre-order now – Ronda Rousey recalled the final moments before she emerged for her first WWE match at WrestleMania 34. According to Rousey, Vince McMahon had only one instruction for her:
A leather-clad Triple H and Steph made an only-at-WrestleMania entrance complete with laser light show and biker motorcade. Vince pulled me aside. “Don’t forget to smile,” he said. “You have an amazing smile. The world smiles with you when you smile.” I flashed my global-grin-inducing smirk at him, then stepped up to the curtain.
Ronda Rousey No Fan Of Vince McMahon
Elsewhere in the book Ronda Rousey detailed her reactions to the shock allegations made against Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit that has seen him forced to resign as TKO Executive Chairman.
Despite McMahon no longer being part of WWE, Ronda Rousey has suggested he might still be running things through his “avatar” who is still with the company.
