Vince McMahon’s Long-Time Ally Quits WWE
The top WWE Executive Kevin Dunn is set to leave the company.
Kevin Dunn, who currently holds the position of WWE Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution, has spent more than three decades with the company but is now set to depart in news broken by PWInsider on 30th December. WWE has yet to comment on the matter.
A loyal and trusted right-hand man of Vince McMahon, Dunn is reported to have handed in his notice during the holiday period in a move that could signal change for the company with the departing Executive having held the production reins since the early 1990’s.
It is felt that Dunn’s departure is largely centred around differing opinions on TV production following the Endeavor takeover, although many are unsurprised to see Dunn move on due to his close relationship with Vince McMahon.
Despite his perceived reputation as a harsh and prickly character, Dunn has undeniably been a huge influence on WWE’s success over the years and is well respected by those who have worked closely with him.
Vince McMahon Out In The Cold After Endeavor Takeover
Should his departure be confirmed, Dunn will join a list of WWE Executives to have parted ways with the company since it was acquired by Endeavor on 12th September. The likes of Suzette Ramirez-Carr, Jamie Horowitz, Catherine Newman, and Andrew Levine have all left the WWE Executive suite for pastures new since the takeover occurred.
Vince McMahon was widely expected to wield more influence following Endeavor’s takeover of WWE but despite being Executive Chairman of TKO Group, the day-to-day running of WWE has been well and truly taken out of McMahon’s hands with Triple H running the wrestling side of the operation.
