Vince McMahon’s New Company Already Interviewing Talent
Despite being 79 and the subject of a sexual assault lawsuit Vince McMahon is making moves with his new venture already reaching out to talent.
In January 2024, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, alleging sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Shortly after the filing was made, McMahon stepped down from his role with the TKO Group, while Laurinaitis had already left WWE. The suit was later paused due to an ongoing federal investigation.
This was followed in October by a second lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO. The suit alleges that those named were complicit in the sexual exploitation of children by former ringside announcer and ring crew chief Mel Phillips Jr.
It’s alleged that McMahon and others were “fully aware” of the abuses suffered by the “ring boys” who often did odd jobs for WWE in preparation for shows.
Vince McMahon Interviewing Talent For New Venture
Despite many expecting McMahon to retire given his complicated legal situation and advancing years, it seems that won’t be the case. According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McMahon is in the process of working to create an “entertainment hub company.”
The disgraced ex-WWE boss would financially back the project which would “develop and produce film and television productions.” However, it is noted that the new venture would be nothing like WWE.
Fightful Select has followed up with a report noting that McMahon’s new company has interviewed people in the entertainment industry for possible upcoming projects. Although it is also stressed that no WWE talent have been contacted and it is believed they had no idea this new company was coming to fruition.
