Vince McMahon & WWE Push To Dismiss Amended Lawsuit

Vince McMahon’s legal battles continue.

On January 31, Janel Grant and her legal team filed her amended lawsuit as her legal fight with Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE rumbles on. McMahon stands accused of sex trafficking and sexual abuse, with Laurinaitis also accused of abuse.

In the updated suit featuring several new details, Brock Lesnar was officially confirmed as the WWE Superstar and former UFC Champion referenced in the original filing, while Michael Hayes was also named.

It’s alleged that McMahon offered a sexual encounter with Grant to Lesnar as part of contract negotiations, and also instructed her to produce “customized pornographic content” for Hayes and “his crew.”

Vince McMahon Launches Opposition To Janel Grant Amendment

As noted by POST Wrestling, a new legal filing made on Vince McMahon’s behalf has now sought to oppose the amended lawsuit. The motion was filed by McMahon’s lawyer Jessica Rosenberg who claimed it was done in “bad faith,” while describing it as “untimely.”

Rosenberg accused Grant’s team of omitting allegations from the original lawsuit in order to manipulate the media into covering them as ‘new’ information in January 2025. Lawyers for McMahon also hit back at claims Grant was coerced into signing an NDA.

Plaintiff disingenuously claims that “key factual developments” prompted her proposed amendments and constitute good cause to amend. Yet, most of Plaintiff’s proposed amendments comprise years-old allegations purportedly derived from Plaintiff’s devices, records, or recollection (whether real or imagined).

These “new” allegations were always known (or conjured) by Plaintiff but were intentionally omitted from the original complaint. The same is true of Plaintiff’s otherwise unjustified decision to deanonymize the names of various high-profile individuals. Plaintiff fails to identify—nor could she—even a single reason for this delay.

Following the filing made on McMahon’s behalf, John Laurinaitis and WWE filed their own objections.
