Vince McMahon Reportedly Set For WrestleMania 38 Match
A new report has claimed that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is set for an unexpected return to the ring at WrestleMania 38.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling has reported that sources “with knowledge of the situation” confirmed that Vince McMahon is likely to begin a program with SmackDown announcer and former NFL star Pat McAfee which will “most likely” lead to an official match on ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’.
WWE has already confirmed that McMahon will be a guest on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, 3rd of March. This will be the WWE Chairman’s first full interview since his conversation with Steve Austin on the ‘Stone Cold’ Podcast on the WWE Network.

The most recent guest on Mcafee’s show was Brock Lesnar. During the interview, Lesnar spoke about his struggles with anxiety and his wrestling career to date.
Vince McMahon is now 76 years old and last competed in a match at WrestleMania 26. nearly 12 years ago. On that occasion, he rekindled his rivalry with Bret Hart. However, it was not to be McMahon’s night as ‘The Hitman’ defeated him in a No Holds Barred match.
During his in-ring WWE career, McMahon has had some surprising victories, including becoming both WWE and ECW Champion at different times and winning the 1999 Royal Rumble match.
Pat McAfee has had two matches during his time in WWE, both of which took place on NXT. He first took on Adam Cole in a losing effort at NXT TakeOver: XXX, then went on to be the Captain for The Kings Of Wrestling in a War Games match against The Undisputed ERA in December 2020.
