Vince McMahon Upset About Ex-Top WWE Name’s Betrayal
Vince McMahon continues to deal with former WWE employee Janel Grant’s lawsuit. While he is fighting the allegations, recent developments have not been in his favor.
When the news of the lawsuit surfaced, The Big Man resigned from TKO’s Board of Directors. Following that, he cut off all ties with WWE by selling off his final TKO shares for $776M+.
Since then, the wrestling juggernaut has distanced itself from Vince McMahon, and his name is mentioned on rare occasions.
John Laurinaitis betrayed Vince McMahon by cutting a deal
Two other names that were tied in the lawsuit are John Laurinaitis and Brock Lesnar. While The Beast hasn’t commented on the lawsuit or the allegations, Laurinaitis cut a deal with Janel Grant’s legal team to have his name dropped in return for cooperation and evidence against Vince McMahon.
Some have condemned this action, claiming that Laurinaitis should not have betrayed the man he owed his career to.
Now, there have been news about Vince McMahon’s reaction to the betrayal. As per Wrestling Outlaws host Chris Featherstone, The Big Man is severely frustrated about the situation, and is dealing with it.
Featherstone had received a text someone who is close to the former WWE CEO, giving insight into the reaction.
It said that it all depends on the civil case with Grant. He does not want to hurt his baby, and privately, he’s been consulting with ideas and advice.. Another part of the text that I got was, um, he was upset about Laurinaitis’ betrayal and as far as the civil case and the confidential agreement that was violated.. There’s a lot more, but at the same time it says Vince has a lot of powerful people on his side.
While the lawsuit takes its course, Vince McMahon has already made public appearances and launched his new venture, 14TH & I, which will look into sports, media, and entertainment.
