Vince McMahon Reportedly Supported By Multiple WWE Stars
Vince McMahon still has a lot of support.
On May 30, it was reported that Vince McMahon is in the early stages of launching his first post-WWE business venture. The company, named 14TH & I, is a “private investment firm focused on the sports, media, & entertainment sectors.”
Given the vague details around the company, all it did was spark fresh speculation that McMahon would be looking to return to the wrestling business.
This was followed by a report from Justin Barrasso, which featured quotes from David Feldman, founder of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, who confirmed that Vince McMahon had been looking to purchase the company. However, he eventually walked away from a deal as Feldman was unwilling to give up total control of the company.
“Great Deal Of Support For Vince McMahon”
In the same article, Barrasso pondered what a wrestling comeback might look like for McMahon, with many observers and insiders feeling he’ll be unable to leave the industry alone. While Barrasso speculated on the logistical difficulties of McMahon getting back involved with the business he revolutionised, he noted that there remains significant support for the former WWE Chairman.
Speaking with wrestlers off-the-record, there is a great deal of support for McMahon, as many note that McMahon is still held in high regard.
Despite his apparent attempts to resume his career, Vince McMahon remains the subject of several lawsuits. The most well-known was brought by Janel Grant in January 2024, with the former WWE employee alleging she was sex trafficked and sexually abused by the disgraced former WWE boss.
In the wake of the filing, McMahon left his position on the TKO Group board of directors.
This was followed in October 2024 by a second lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO. The suit alleges that those named were complicit in the sexual exploitation of children by former ringside announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr.
These legal challenges came after a lawsuit was filed in November 2023, which claimed Vince McMahon manipulated the sale process during WWE’s merger with UFC, which saw the creation of the TKO Group.
