Vince McMahon Shown On WWE SmackDown

Vince McMahon SmackDown

Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was featured on SmackDown as he and other wrestling stars gave their thoughts on John Cena.

It was previously announced that 16-time WWE Champion and the man that Michael Cole calls the “Greatest of All-Time” John Cena will be on the December 30th episode of Smackdown in Tampa, which is where Cena lives.

On the December 16th edition of Smackdown, things stepped up a notch as it was revealed that Cena will not only appear on Smackdown but also have a match. John Cena will team up with a man he has a storied history with – Kevin Owens – on the show to face The Bloodline’s tag team of Sami Zayn and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Now on the taped 23rd of December edition of SmackDown, a video package played highlighting John Cena’s legendary WWE career. The video charted Cena’s rise to the top of WWE and beyond and featured interview snippets with many WWE stars including Triple H, Steve Austin, and The Rock. Interestingly, Vince McMahon was also featured in the video referring to Cena as “a real-life superhero.”

Vince McMahon stepped away from WWE in July 2022 amid an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct and hush money payments. McMahon’s retirement was addressed on the SmackDown following the announcement he was leaving and since then, the former Chairman has barely been referenced.

Recent reports have suggested that Vince McMahon was plotting to get his way back into WWE and believes he received some “bad advice” to step away.
