Vince McMahon Possibly Returning To WWE For This Reason

Vince McMahon WWE Doc

After Brock Lesnar’s shocking return at WWE SummerSlam, speculation is running wild about whether Vince McMahon might also step back into the WWE spotlight.

This connection is rooted in an ongoing lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. Grant’s lawsuit alleges deep misconduct involving the ex-WWE boss, including claims of sexual assault and trafficking.

Later, Brock Lesnar’s name was officially cited in an amended complaint. While The Beast Incarnate isn’t a defendant, his involvement magnifies the legal drama, especially now with his surprise return, prompting fans to wonder if McMahon could follow.

Eric Bischoff: “Never Say Never” With Vince McMahon

On his 83 Weeks podcast, Conrad Thompson asked WWE veteran Eric Bischoff about the possibility of a Vince McMahon WWE comeback. Bischoff noted that the Stamford-based promotion wouldn’t completely erase McMahon’s legacy because he built the company. Therefore, McMahon’s return is although unlikely, but still possible.

He said, “Nothing ever surprises me when it comes to Vince McMahon. And there is no such word as impossible when it comes to Vince McMahon. So, is it possible? Of course, it’s possible. Is it likely? That’s a stretch to me. I don’t know, man. But I wouldn’t bet against it. Again, I’d be surprised in the sense that it’s not necessary.”

“It’s not like Vince McMahon is going to draw money for WWE. So from that perspective, I don’t see it, but he is Vince McMahon. He has built WWE. To erase him from WWE history because of this civil lawsuit makes no sense to me. So maybe the answer is probably somewhere in between,” he added. [12:29 – 13:22]

Vince McMahon’s Rare Appearances Since the Lawsuit

Since Grant’s lawsuit and his 2024 resignation as WWE/TKO executive chairman, McMahon has mostly kept out of public view. However, he recently surfaced for Hulk Hogan’s private memorial service on August 5, 2025.

He also appeared in a major televised interview for the TMZ special “The Real Hulk Hogan,” premiering August 12. These events marked his first major on-screen moments since stepping down, with social media abuzz about his changed look.
