The wrestling world is a constantly changing one but a day in the life of a former WWE star may have taken the cake as Vince McMahon re-hired them just hours after they were wished well in their future endeavors.
The Boogeyman might have been coming to get the rest of the WWE locker room but once upon a time, it was former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis that was coming for the spooky star as he fired him over the phone.
“Did you ever hear the story about Boogeyman, when he got hired? He got fired in the morning at 9 A.M. and then rehired at 3 o’clock in the afternoon the same day. You remember Johnny Ace [John Laurinaitis]? So, Johnny didn’t like [The Boogeyman] and then, I guess he thought he had enough power to be able to fire someone like [The Boogeyman].
“And then when Vince McMahon found out that [The Boogeyman] was fired, he made Johnny Ace call him up and rehire him. I think with a raise, actually.”
This is not the only quick re-hire in WWE history with Samoa Joe released by the company in April 2021 only to be called later the same day by Triple H who wanted to bring him back to work in NXT, which he began doing in June of the same year.
