Why Vince McMahon Should Never Return To WWE Again
Vince McMahon has been gone from WWE since he resigned from TKO’s Board of Directors in January 2024. His return was speculated, but there was no concrete evidence to support that speculation.
The Big Man had been running WWE for decades before finally selling it to Endeavor. The company merged WWE and UFC, forming TKO. The sale marked the first time the McMahon family did not have a controlling share in WWE.
However, the former WWE CEO did retain a position on TKO’s Board of Directors. He resigned after former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against him.
Vince McMahon should have stepped down a decade before it happened
Currently, Triple H is running the show. Under his regime, several superstars have spoken openly about structure, policies, and the global juggernaut that allows them to prioritize their physical and mental well-being when the situation demands it.
On Straight Talk with The Boss, Dominic DeAngelo and Magnum TA discussed a fan’s question, which asked whether WWE should have allowed Vince McMahon to be a part of Hulk Hogan’s tribute.
Both of them agreed that The Big Man did not need to be on that program ever again.
“You don’t never need to be on that programming again”, said Magnum TA.
“Nope. And you know, if you did that, it would have completely overshadowed the tribute to Hogan. Like that’s all people would have been talking about”, agreed DeAngelo.
“You know, the longer he’s been gone, the more people have finally been able to let their guard down and express what we’ve all known in our hearts about the working environment and everything else. And you know, again, another person that contributed, you know, broke the molds, broke the ceiling, broke, you know, broke down every barrier anybody ever thought about about making, you know, wrestling a global sensation. But, you know, that departure had been probably overdue, you know, five to 10 years before it happened”, added Magtum TA.
A couple of months ago, the industry experts were analyzing speculations that suggested Vince McMahon was looking into buying back WWE from TKO. However, TKO representatives shut down the rumour by revealing that the company was not for sale.
