Vince McMahon “Never Onboard” With Dream WWE Match

Vince McMahon

Despite many WWE fans wanting to see a certain dream bout in the company, Vince McMahon never wanted it says a former writer for the company.

The Four Horsewomen of NXT have gone on to become four of the most highly decorated WWE Superstars of all time. Between Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte Flair, the Horsewomen have held variations of the WWE Women’s Championship 29 times between them while Lynch, Banks, and Flair have all headlined WrestleMania.

Despite their success and popularity fans never got to see the dream bout of a four-way match between the Horsewomen ever take place in WWE.

In an appearance on the Public Enemies Podcast, former WWE writer Chris Dunn says despite others in the company wanting the match, Vince McMahon never quite saw it:

“I don’t think Vince was ever on board with it. I think others in the company were. I think it probably could’ve ended up happening eventually, but it wasn’t anything ever really on the docket. I think some people really wanted it to happen and build towards it, but I feel like if everyone was still with the company now, it definitely would’ve.”

The bout now looks destined to never take place with Banks leaving WWE to forge her own path in New Japan Pro Wrestling and beyond as Mercedes Mone. Becky Lynch and Bayley are embroiled in a feud currently on Raw with a new date scheduled for their postponed cage match. Charlotte Flair is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion and now knows she will have a long night ahead of her at WrestleMania 39.
