Vince McMahon Netflix Documentary Trailer Released

Vince McMahon

Several WWE legends appear in the trailer for the upcoming Vince McMahon documentary.

On August 29th it was announced that the long-discussed Vince McMahon documentary has a release date. The six-part series will premiere on Netflix on September 25th.

The first project was first discussed back in 2020, and at the time it was announced it would be co-produced by WWE Studios, however, that will no longer be the case.

As the premiere date moves ever closer, the first trailer for the series has been released. The two-minute clip features appearances from The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and Bruce Prichard.

Vince McMahon Documentary Already Wrapped In Controversy

Speaking to Variety, director and executive producer Chris Smith said that the series will offer a “rich and nuanced” look at the disgraced former WWE boss.

“The goal behind ‘Mr. McMahon’ was to pull back the curtain and reveal the true Vince McMahon, obscured beneath the persona he presented to the world,” he said.

“Over the four years of production, the story evolved in truly shocking ways, culminating in some extremely harrowing allegations.

The final product is a revealing documentary that we believe offers a rich and nuanced portrait of the man and the complex legacy he left behind.”

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that although she won’t appear, Janel Grant was contacted by the documentary makers about an appearance. In January 2024, former WWE employee Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE detailing several instances of alleged sexual abuse.

In recent days, Jim Ross has expressed his surprise at not being interviewed for the documentary given his one-time close relationship with McMahon.
