Vince McMahon Meltdown After Discovering Key Fact About Ex-WWE Star
A former WWE star has recalled Vince McMahon’s shock when he found out an important fact he had missed.
Armando Alejandro Estrada is best known to WWE fans as the cigar-smoking businessman who managed Umaga when the star returned to WWE in 2006.
While in reality Estrada is a Palestinian American named Hazem Ali, he portrayed a Cuban character for his managerial role. As it turned out, he played the character almost too well.
During an appearance on K100 w/ Konnan & Disco, Estrada recalled a writer telling him that Vince McMahon had a “meltdown” during a production meeting when he found out he wasn’t actually Cuban a year into his tenure.
“I had been doing this (on-screen character) for a year. The writer comes up to me and he’s like, ‘Vince had a f**king meltdown in the production meeting.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ The guy says, ‘Vince found out you weren’t Cuban.’
“I said, ‘Well what did he think I was?’ And I guess somebody smartened him up and the quote was, ‘Well what the hell is he? Irani? Iraqi?…’ I thought I did a pretty good job if I could have the boss fooled for that long.”
Despite being gone from the organisation for over 15 years now, Armando Estrada has signed a five-year Legends deal with WWE.
Vince McMahon Furious At Being Upstaged By Donald Trump
During the same interview, Estrada recalled that Vince McMahon was p**sed when Donald Trump showed up in a bigger limo than him. Estrada and other stars were travelling to the airport in McMahon’s limo, and when they got there, Trump’s limo was in the same place. On seeing McMahon, Trump rolled down his window and suggested that some of the wrestlers travelled with him since his transport was bigger. According to Estrada, McMahon was “legit hot” after the incident.
