Vince McMahon Preparing To Launch Entertainment Company
A new report has claimed Vince McMahon is working on a new project.
Despite being the subject of a federal investigation into sex trafficking and sexual assault, Vince McMahon is planning for the future.
In January 2024, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, alleging sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Shortly after the filing was made, McMahon stepped down from his role with the TKO Group, while Laurinaitis had already left WWE. The suit was later paused due to an ongoing federal investigation.
This was followed in October by a second lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, WWE, and TKO. The suit alleges that those named were complicit in the sexual exploitation of children by former ringside announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr.
It’s alleged that McMahon and others were “fully aware” of the abuses suffered by the “ring boys” who often did odd jobs for WWE in preparation for shows.
Yet, somewhat incredibly, McMahon is planning a comeback.
Vince McMahon Working Wth Ex-WWE Figures On New Project
Despite many expecting McMahon to retire given his complicated legal situation and advancing years, it seems that won’t be the case. According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McMahon is in the process of working to create an ” entertainment hub company.”
The disgraced ex-WWE boss would financially back the project which would “develop and produce film and television productions.”
Those Johnson has spoken to claim the venture wouldn’t be similar in any way to WWE.
According to the report, former WWE Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum, and former company liaison to Hollywood Kristen Prouty are said to be onboard. The company would likely be based in Los Angeles, with plans to launch if and when McMahon’s legal problems are resolved.
As of now, long-time McMahon associate Kevin Dunn isn’t involved.
