Vince McMahon To Be Involved In WWE Creative

Vince McMahon Triple H WWE

One day after WrestleMania 39, the wrestling world underwent its biggest seismic shift in decades as Vince McMahon sold up to UFC’s parent company Endeavor in a $21 billion deal.

Endeavor, which owns UFC, is taking control of WWE and putting the two companies under one umbrella in a deal that is valued at around $21 billion. Vince McMahon will retain his position as Executive Chairman of the new company’s Board of Directors while current WWE CEO Nick Khan will become President of the brand in the same role Dana White will continue to have with UFC.

WWE shareholders will be given 49% of the new company while Endeavor would hold the majority at 51%. The deal values WWE at $9.3 billion – which is around the figure that earlier reports had suggested the company was looking for, with UFC valued at just over $12 billion.

Speaking in an interview with CNBC regarding the deal Vince McMahon was asked about his creative involvement in the company going forward. McMahon noted that it was a yes and no answer regarding that noting that “on a higher level, yes. In the weeds, no. Can’t do that.”

What that means for who gets the final say over creative calls in WWE between Vince McMahon and the company’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H remains to be seen.
