Vince McMahon Enjoyed Humiliating WWE Stars

Vince McMahon WWE

Stories about how Vince McMahon ran WWE when he was the boss still make their way around the industry.

More often than not, superstars have claimed that The Big Man was ruthless. He barely ever considered what the superstars would feel, and his focus was always on producing the best event or live show for the fans.

While McMahon always put the fans first, it sometimes came at the cost of superstars’ well-being.

Former WWE superstar opened up about Vince McMahon’s backstage conduct

While speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy revealed that Vince McMahon would make people uncomfortable by putting them in difficult positions, and Jim Ross was often a victim of that. Furthermore, he added that if anyone showed weakness in front of McMahon, the former Chairman would push that button even more.

I mean, I felt like Vince had a thing—Vince had a thing for putting people in positions that made them feel uncomfortable, and he kind of got off on that, in all honesty. That was like one of his things.

That was like one of his things. And I felt like he did that with JR quite a bit. That became a regular, common thing there.

There were certain people I felt like—if you ever showed signs of weakness or said, ‘No, I don’t want to do that,’ or if you were outright uncomfortable with it—then he would push it even harder.

I feel like sometimes he said—‘If you don’t go into areas or positions where you feel uncomfortable, you will never grow.’ And in some ways, that is true. But in some ways too, I think he was abusive with it as well.

Vince was a menace whenever he was on headphones. I know because you would say something that triggered him, or he was in a bad mood, and you just never knew what Vince you were going to get.

You never know which Vince you were going to talk to—whether he woke up on the right side of the bed or the wrong side of the bed. [H/t: Ringside News]
