Vince McMahon Furious Over Hulk Hogan’s Final WWE Appearance

Vince McMahon has commented on Hulk Hogan’s final WWE appearance.

On July 24, Hulk Hogan, one of the biggest stars that professional wrestling has ever seen, passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Although surrounded by controversy in his later years, Hogan helped take WWE to amazing heights during the 1980s with Vince McMahon, before repeating the trick with WCW in the 1990s. Hogan later returned to WWE on several occasions, most notably wrestling The Rock at WrestleMania X8.

The legend wrestled his last match at a TNA live event in early 2012.

Vince McMahon Annoyed By Treatment Of Hulk Hogan

Following the star’s passing, it was announced that a new documentary would be produced on his life, featuring Vince McMahon.

In the trailer for the documentary, a frustrated McMahon said he was angry at the reaction Hogan received during what turned out to be his final WWE appearance. According to McMahon, Hogan deserved “much more.”

Hogan’s final moment on WWE television came on the January 6 edition of Raw, which marked the show’s move to Netflix. Appearing alongside Jimmy Hart, Hogan was heavily booed by the crowd despite his attempts to run through his famous catchphrases.

Jimmy Hart later claimed that Hulk Hogan was “devastated” by the reaction he received. Although some, including Hart, put the backlash down to his public endorsement of United States President Donald Trump, others suggested it was in response to making racist remarks and failing to apologise.

Vince McMahon has largely remained out of the spotlight since leaving WWE in early 2024. McMahon’s departure came after he was named as a defendant in a major lawsuit, which alleged he sexually abused and sex trafficked former WWE employee Janel Grant.

McMahon had already stepped away from the company once in 2022 after it was claimed he made hush money payments worth millions of dollars to several women to cover up alleged sexual misconduct.
