After finally signing with WWE in 1998, Kurt Angle quickly established himself as one of the best and most versatile performers in the company.

Vince McMahon Repeatedly Fined Kurt Angle

However, while the segments remain popular with fans in 2024, according to Angle they were often hard work to put together. During an appearance on Notsam Wrestling, Angle recalled McMahon getting so frustrated with him and Austin breaking character that he began fining them for laughing. A move that quickly cost Angle $8000.

“Vince said, ‘Hey, we’re going to do these pre-tapes, but last week was a disaster because you guys kept breaking characters. You guys kept laughing. So, this week, if you break character, you get fined $2,000,'” Angle explained. “So, I got fined $8,000 because I broke character four different times. I started getting serious. I was like, ‘I can’t do that anymore, I’m going to lose all my money.’ So, I wouldn’t break character anymore, I don’t know how I was able to do it.”

Meanwhile, during a different interview, Kurt Angle revealed that a movie is being made about his life. The film will focus on Angle’s early life and run up to his famous Olympic gold medal win in Atlanta in 1996.

The WWE legend explained that the script is complete, and the team involved is currently looking for investors.
