Vince McMahon Delaying Compliance With WWE Lawsuit
Vince McMahon has been accused of delaying compliance with a WWE lawsuit.
In November 2023, Vince McMahon and WWE’s Board were accused of giving Endeavour preferential treatment in the bidding process for the company. In a lawsuit launched by the Laborer’s District Council and Contractors’ Pension Fund of Ohio, it was alleged that McMahon used his “domineering personality and control over WWE to carry out his own personal agenda at the expense of the Company’s public stockholders.”
It was also suggested that Vince McMahon’s behaviour has a pattern, and the goal was for him to remain in power, which is why he approached his “long-time friend” Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel about a deal.
The lawsuit is still ongoing, and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics has reported that McMahon appears to be “resisting or delaying full compliance with discovery” in the suit. The plaintiffs submitted filings on April 29th and 30th requesting that the Delaware Court of Chancery compel the disgraced former WWE Chairman to respond to discovery requests and produce certain documents.
As part of the discovery process, they are reported to have asked for non-privileged materials related to McMahon covering the period from January 1, 2022, through March 12, 2024. The exact nature of the documents has been sealed from the public.
Wrestlenomics notes that the court has given McMahon until May 14th to oppose the motion, otherwise it could automatically grant the request.
Doctor At Center Of Vince McMahon Scandal Files Lawsuit Against Janel Grant’s Attorney
There has been a new wrinkle related to another lawsuit against Vince McMahon, as Dr. Carlon Colker has filed a lawsuit against Janel Grant’s lawyer, Ann Callis. In Grant’s lawsuit against McMahon and WWE, Colker is alleged to have given treatments to Grant at his clinic without disclosing them to her.
Colker has denied any wrongdoing, and in his lawsuit, has alleged that Callis and the Holland Law Firm have made false public statements.
