Vince McMahon Confused By WWE’s Four Horsewomen
Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon never understood what the Four Horsewomen were according to one of the quartet.
Long-time wrestling fans are no strangers to the Four Horsemen that first caused havoc in Jim Crockett Promotions with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard banding together under the guidance of JJ Dillon to claim as much success and money for themselves as they could get their hands on.
Perhaps it’s no surprise then that when a generation of female stars was breaking through in WWE as part of the NXT brand and one of them just so happened to be The Nature Boy’s daughter, the Four Horsewomen were born.
Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley were the group given this moniker despite the fact they never teamed as a quartet on WWE television. In fact, most of their time in the ring together saw the four stars fighting each other.
Perhaps that is why Vince McMahon never really understood why so many saw them as a group.
Vince McMahon Lost On The Four Horsewomen
Speaking at Vulture Festival, former WWE star Becky Lynch explained why the trigger was never pulled on having the Four Horsewomen be an on-screen faction:
It was always something bubbling under the surface, one of those ‘break in case of emergency’ ideas. But sometimes, when you leave something for too long, it just fades.
Lynch continued by noting she believed that Vince McMahon didn’t understand what the group was which might explain why he never put them together on TV under his watch:
I don’t think Vince ever really got it. He didn’t understand. He’d say, ‘What is this Four Horsewomen thing? They’ve never even had a match together.’
Becky Lynch also hinted that she was not done with WWE which could mean fans of The Man could see her back in the company sooner rather than later.
