Vince McMahon’s Attorney Blasts Janel Grant’s “Deceitful Behaviour”
Vince McMahon has come out fighting.
On August 6th, Judge Jeffrey Meyer ruled to deny a motion filed by Vince McMahon and his legal team.
The motion was in response to Janel Grant filing a pre-action discovery petition against Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, Inc. The petition relates to claims from Grant that she was sent to the clinic by McMahon in 2019 and subsequently given treatments that were not disclosed to her.
McMahon claimed the petition violated a court-ordered stay of Grant’s original lawsuit which was confirmed in May. The lawsuit had been paused due to a federal investigation into the allegations.
Vince McMahon’s Attorney Fires Back
In response to the setback, Vince McMahon’s attorney Jessica Taub Rosenberg issued the following statement to Wrestlenomics.
“Ms. Grant’s attempt to seek discovery in state court despite a stay in federal court exemplifies her consistently deceitful behavior and lack of integrity;” Rosenberg said, “we will, per the Federal Court’s order, continue to pursue a court order to stop her.”
In January, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The lawsuit contained allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking.
Among the allegations in the suit, Grant claimed that McMahon recruited a “Physical Therapist” from an “Alternative Clinic” to participate in threesomes with the pair. Grant claims she was forced into these sex acts and others by the former WWE boss.
