A veteran WWE superstar is determined to become a singles champion.

Chad Gable is a former Olympian who competed for the United States in Greco-Roman wrestling. After his amateur wrestling days were done, he signed with WWE in late 2013 and has spent more than a decade becoming one of the best wrestlers in the world.

While Gable has had three reigns as a Tag Team Champion on WWE’s main roster, he has yet to taste singles gold. Gable has had chances at becoming Intercontinental Champion with memorable matches against former champions like GUNTHER and Sami Zayn, but he wasn’t able to beat either man for the title.

In his current role as the heel leader of the American Made group with The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) and Ivy Nile, Gable has backup that could help him achieve his goal of being a singles champion.

During an interview with Jay Ferruggia on The Jay Ferruggia Show, Gable talked about how he’s ready to hold a singles title in WWE.

“I’m considering a dangerous thing with this. I realize it might be a dangerous thing to set a goal on something that you are not in full control of. Easy to set a goal if you’re in control, I have no problem with that. I will deliver.

I’m entertaining the idea if I’m going to put ‘win a singles title’ on my goals for 2025 because it’s not all in my hands. I will be very disappointed if I don’t deliver. I’m a goal guy. I’m a goal-driven guy. I’m interested to see what I will do, on top of everything else I do, to try to make that happen or force it to happen. I know I’m ready. I can carry a title.”

WWE Fans Want To See Chad Gable Win Singles Gold

Even though Chad Gable is a heel in the world of WWE, wrestling fans want to see him become a singles champion because they know how good he is.

“You can sense that. I get that any time I interact with people at a meet and greet. ‘You gotta get your singles title.’

It’s almost cool in a sense that no matter what it is or which title ends up being, I think people are going to have respect for that. ‘He earned it. He deserved it. He’s been through the trenches and never wavered.’ I’m looking forward to it. We’ll see what we can make happen this year.”

Chad Gable signed a new WWE contract around June of 2024 when he spoke about how he liked working for his boss Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who has featured Gable a lot more than Vince McMahon did when he was running the company.
