A veteran WWE star plans to remain with the company for many more years after agreeing to a new contract.

It has been a busy time of year for World Wrestling Entertainment to retain their wrestlers by signing them with a new contract. Over this past week alone, there were reports of former Women’s Champion Asuka agreeing to a new deal while former WWE Champion Sheamus also agreed to a new deal that will extend his run with the company that started over 15 years ago.

Other big names who re-signed with WWE this year include the likes of Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Natalya, Berto, Angel, and several others.

Shayna Baszler is a former MMA fighter who became a pro wrestler in the 2010s and has been part of WWE since 2017. It has been reported by Fightful Select that Baszler has re-signed with World Wrestling Entertainment since her contract was going to expire this year. Fightful confirmed it’s a multi-year deal although no exact terms were confirmed for the 44-year-old Baszler.

Currently, Baszler is a part of the Pure Fusion Collective group with Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark on the Raw brand.

According to Fightful, a longtime WWE staffer said that Bazler doesn’t have an ego and is easy for WWE to work with. Baszler is also very helpful in terms of working with newer talent as well.

WWE Talking To Several Stars About Signing New Contracts

The deals agreed to by the likes of Asuka, Sheamus & Baszler could lead to several more WWE stars agreeing to new deals. That’s according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who reported that WWE is planning to lock in many wrestlers with new deals.

WWE went to a number of people whose deals are coming up over the next several months to sign new contracts. Asuka was announced publicly. There may be others but WWE did not confirm them.

One legendary WWE name who recently signed a new contract is two-time Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan although the 70-year-old Hulkster isn’t going to wrestle again.
