A former wrestler who worked behind the scenes in AEW is no longer with the company.

The wrestlers in the ring in WWE, AEW and other companies get all the glory, but there’s also a lot of work done behind the scenes by Producers or Agents, who essentially are coaches that help the talent put together matches and promo segment.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that Sarah Stock has been let go by AEW. No reason was given for her release.

Sarah Stock is a former wrestler best known as TNA’s Sarita. She was a two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion. She also wrestled a lot in Mexico during her career. She stopped wrestling regularly in 2015, but she did get back into the ring for some 2022 tag team matches in Mexico.

Before working for AEW, Sarah worked for WWE as a coach/trainer at the WWE Performance Center from 2015 to 2020. She was release in April of that year after WWE made a lot of cuts due to the COVID-19 vaccine negatively affecting business.

Fightful added hat Stock had issues with AEW’s mental health program and how that department went through changes, but it’s not known if that is a reason why she was let go.

AEW Delayed Forbidden Door Announcement Because Of WWE

There was a big announcement this week that AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door will take place at the The O2 arena in London, England on Sunday, August 24.

Forbidden Door at The O2 was expected for months, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the company had to wait to announce it due to WWE running the venue in March.

It was figured to be the O2 but the contract they signed with the arena, because of a contract the arena had already signed with WWE for the TV tapings in that building on 3/28 and 3/31 in the building.

The contract specified that no other wrestling promotion could announce a date in the building until 15 days after the WWE show takes place, so AEW was not allowed to announce the building until this week. They will be going early as they will be taping television on 8/20 in Glasgow at the Hydro, taping both Dynamite and Collision that night.

AEW is also running their first ever Grand Slam Mexico event on Wednesday, June 18th as well.
