Very Bad News On Missing AEW Star’s Future
There’s some bad news for one missing AEW star as they are not expected back in the company in 2025.
On the April 2nd edition of Dynamite, it was announced that Kevin Knight would be taking Jay White’s place in the Owen Hart Cup. The announcement came after White had been attacked backstage by the Death Riders. However, he was dealing with a genuine injury.
White confirmed he was suffering from a broken hand at that time, but five months later, there is still no sign of Switchblade, and it seems there is a very good reason why.
Jay White Won’t Return To AEW In 2025
Sean Ross Sapp has now shed light on White’s status as part of a Q&A on Fightful Select. Sapp noted that White is not expected back in AEW in 2025. White is said to have suffered a hand injury that he’d likely have recovered from by now, but is also battling a shoulder injury that he decided to get taken care of as well. It’s as a result of that decision that he’s missing a lot longer from the ring than previously anticipated.
Jay White’s partners in The Bang Bang Gang recently made their return to AEW after long absences as well. After eight months out of action with a broken leg, Juice Robinson returned to the ring in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In Texas. That’s where Austin and Colten Gunn also made their return to AEW TV after a prolonged absence as well. Colten Gunn has been injured since that comeback as well, meaning that Austin had to team with Juice Robinson in the recent tag team eliminator tournament.
