Val Venis Names Former WWE Superstar That Was Bullied

Val Venis

Val Venis has shed some light on a former WWE Superstar who was bullied during their time in the company.

A former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Val Venis recently spoke out about who he felt was the most bullied wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment while he was in the promotion.

In 1998, Val Venis signed with WWE, where he would spend over a decade. While there, Venis carried a few championship belts, including the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WWE European Championship and the WWE World Tag Team Championships with Lance Storm. During that time in the company, Venis spent a lot of time in the locker room with several legends and high-profile wrestlers.

Making an appearance on “Wrestling Shoot Interviews,” Venis was questioned about his opinion on who he felt was the most bullied superstar in WWE during his time there. His response: Former Light Heavyweight Champion Essa Rios.

“The most bullied person I saw was Essa Rios. I felt bad for him man. I felt bad for him. I don’t know man, guys would be pushing him around and now he’s a veteran now, they don’t push him anymore from what I understand. But there were times where he just wanted to go out there and perform.”
