Vacant WWE Title Up For Grabs As New Match Made

A new champion is set to be crowned imminently in WWE as a huge rivalry takes another twist with a vacant title now up for grabs.

At NXT Stand & Deliver, The Family faced DarkState in a six-man tag team match. DarkState was able to pick up the win after Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo betrayed Tony D’Angelo, nailing his boss with a low blow.

Since then, Adrianna Rizzo has been in hiding in a safehouse at the behest of D’Angelo while The Don of NXT remains unsure of where Luca Crusifino’s loyalties lie. Stacks Lorenzo defeated D’Angelo when the two men went one-on-one at Battleground, but their bad blood has shown no signs of dying down anytime soon.

And now there’s a title at stake.

WWE Title On The Line As Family Issues Continue

Noam Dar is out of action with an injury that has led to WWE vacating the NXT Heritage Cup. Dar only returned to the ring in April after eleven months out of action, where he defeated Lexis King for the trophy.

Luca Crusifino broke the news on social media that Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo would face Tony D’Angelo for the vacant title as he continued to try to prove his loyalty.

Tony D’Angelo has previously held the NXT Heritage Cup in a 91-day reign. Should Stacks Lorenzo win the title, it will be his first singles title in WWE.
