Updated WWE NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II Lineup; Bobby Roode & Austin Aries Matches Added

Last night’s (August 11) edition of NXT on the WWE Network confirmed a few more matches for the yellow brand’s return to the Barclays Center on August 20 for TakeOver: Brooklyn II.

Bobby Roode will be making his NXT in-ring debut against Andrade “Cien” Almas. Austin Aries is also on the card as he’ll look to put an end to his feud with No Way Jose. Lastly, as shown last night in a video teaser, female NXT Superstar Ember Moon will be making her debut with the brand at TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Her opponent has not yet been announced.

Last night’s NXT also kicked off with a contract signing between Bayley and Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Brooklyn II. The match was technically already happening, but I guess the contract signing now makes it “official”.

With all of this now confirmed, that means that TakeOver: Brooklyn II currently has six matches scheduled. With last year’s TakeOver event in Brooklyn having six matches and most TakeOver specials having either five or six matches, the following is likely the complete card for NXT’s return to Brooklyn on August 20.

NXT Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

NXT Women’s Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Bayley

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Revival (c) vs. Johnny Gargano & Tomaso Ciampa

Austin Aries vs. No Way Jose

Bobby Roode vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Ember Moon vs. (To Be Determined)

It is also worth mentioning that matches were taped before the main card of last year’s TakeOver: Brooklyn which were used for the following week’s episode of NXT. The same will likely happen this year.
