Update On The Rock Appearing At WrestleMania 39
With the days running out until WrestleMania 39, the latest update on The Rock competing at the show is not good news for the millions and millions of his fans.
Rumours have run rampant for months if not years that a dream match was in the works that would see The Rock go one-on-one with Roman Reigns. With WrestleMania ‘going Hollywood’ in 2023 many fans suspected that this would be the perfect home for such a match but it doesn’t look now like that’s going to happen.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted on social media that The Rock may well be at WrestleMania 39 in some form but confirmed he has turned down wrestling at the event.

Roman Reigns’ opponent for at least one night of WrestleMania 39 has been confirmed with Cody Rhodes officially named as The Tribal Chief’s challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship following Rhodes’ win in the Royal Rumble.
That match could be contingent on Reigns remaining champion until WrestleMania with a main event for the Elimination Chamber currently “as confirmed as can be.”
There could also be bad news in relation to another wrestling icon appearing at WrestleMania with the belief that Stone Cold Steve Austin has also turned down a match on the show.
